I’ve known Joseph for many years and have always found his columns to be interesting, incisive and relevant. He also provides a wealth of West Coast information that is very helpful to those of us, who know much about the Mississippi and Chicago scenes but very little about the Bay Area or California.
Dick Waterman – Blues Hall of Fame Inductee
Thanks again for your continued support. And congratulations on your great work. You give much needed ink to so many blues musicians and you thoroughly summarize what’s up, both here and nationally.
Mike Kappus – President, The Rosebud Agency
Thank you for all you do for the Blues. I enjoy and look forward to reading you.
Tom Mazzolini – Producer, San Francisco Blues Festival and Blues Radio Host
Again, I appreciate and enjoy your columns very much.
Phil Elwood – Jazz Hall of Fame Writer
I read the liner notes you wrote for Severn Records. Joseph, you make me sick… I could slit my throat when I read your stuff. You have a way with words that is just amazing. You should think about writing a novel…down and dirty for some quick money! Danielle Steele and the others could not hold a candle to your flowery descriptive prose.
Dorothy Hill – Jazz and Blues Critic, Jazz Now Magazine
Joseph is a deft writer. There are no other words for it, and no one who writes the way he does. Many journalists struggle with it tooth and nail. He does it effortlessly.
Ted Gehrke – Producer, Fountain Blues Festival, San Jose, CA
Joseph Jordan’s writing is marvelous. He loves the blues as much as I do.
Lawrence Cohn – Columbia Records Legacy Series Producer and Author
Joseph is a blues writer extraordinaire.
Jack Cohen – Owner, Yahoo Blues List and Bay Area Blues Clues
Joseph is a brilliant writer. I know he always tells the truth. His stuff is a great help to me and to many other blues artists.
Coco Montoya – Recording Artist
Joseph is a friend of the Blues. He writes really well and has captured the meaning of what I do for a living.
Tommy Castro – Recording Artist
Joseph is a good friend and a very good writer. He gets to the meat of it.
